About YO-PRO-1
YO-PRO-1 is a fluorogenic, intercalating nucleic acid stain that is normally cell-impermeant to healthy cells but can be semi-permeant to cells undergoing apotosis due to the effects of a neutralization of the plasma membrane potential. It has an excitation peak at 491 nm and an emission peak at 509 nm.
