DyLight™ 550 is a yellow-emitting fluorophore that can be excited by the 561 nm yellow-green laser and collected using a 582/15 nm bandpass filter. DyLight 550 has an excitation peak at 562 nm and an emission peak at 576 nm, and is spectrally similar to Alexa Fluor 546, Alexa Fluor 555, Cy3 and TRITC. DyLight 550 is most commonly used in flow cytometery, and fluorescence imaging applications. This dye is a member of the DyLight Fluor family of fluorophores produced by Dyomics in collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific. Covering the entire visible light spectrum and several key near-infared and infrared wavelengths, the DyLight fluor spectral properties match the output (excitation) and detection wavelengths of common fluorescence instrumentation.
