eFluor™ 455UV (eF455UV) Fixable Viability is a ultra violet-emitting viability dye that can be excited by the ~350 nm UV laser and collected using a 450/50 bandpass filter. eFluor 455UV has an excitatation peak at 350 nm and an emission peak at 455 nm. This dye irreversibly stains dead cells with a robust fluorescence that is unaffected by washing, fixation, permeability treatments, or other staining. This dye is mainly used with flow cytometry to exclude dead cells from analysis. This dye is part of the larger eFluor dye family, developed by eBioscience which is now part of ThermoFisher Scientific.
