About IL-33 R and Alexa Fluor 647
IL-33 R The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 receptor family. Studies of the similar gene in mouse suggested that this receptor can be induced by proinflammatory stimuli, and may be involved in the function of helper T cells. This gene, interleukin 1 receptor, type I (IL1R1), interleukin 1 receptor, type II (IL1R2) and interleukin 1 receptor-like 2 (IL1RL2) form a cytokine receptor gene cluster in a region mapped to chromosome 2q12. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Alexa Fluor 647 Alexa Fluor™ 647 (AF647, Alexa 647) has an excitation peak at 650 nm and an emission peak at 665 nm, and is spectrally similar to Cy®5 (GE Healthcare), iFluor® 647 (ATT Bioquest), and DyLight™ 650 (Thermo Fisher Scientific). Alexa 647 is commonly used for flow cytometry, microscopy, super-resolution microscopy applications. It is very bright, photostable, and pH insensitive, all of which contribute to sensitive detection while using this dye.

Detection of ST2/IL-33 R in HEK293 Human Cell Line Transfected with Human ST2/IL-33 R and eGFP by Flow Cytometry. HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with either (A) human ST2/IL-33 R or (B) irrelevant transfectants and eGFP was stained with Alexa Fluor® 647-conjugated Rabbit Anti-Human ST2/IL-33 R Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # FAB5232R). Quadrant markers were set based on control antibody staining (Catalog # IC1050R). View our protocol for Staining Membrane-associated Proteins.
