About IL-33 R and Purified
IL-33 R | The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 receptor family. Studies of the similar gene in mouse suggested that this receptor can be induced by proinflammatory stimuli, and may be involved in the function of helper T cells. This gene, interleukin 1 receptor, type I (IL1R1), interleukin 1 receptor, type II (IL1R2) and interleukin 1 receptor-like 2 (IL1RL2) form a cytokine receptor gene cluster in a region mapped to chromosome 2q12. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |

IFN-gamma Secretion Induced by IL-33 and Neutralization by Human ST2/IL-33 R Antibody. Recombinant Human IL-33 induces IFN-gamma secretion in Human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear cells (PBMC) in the presence of Recombinant Human IL-12 (Catalog # 219-IL) in a dose-dependent manner (orange line), as measured by the Human IFN-gamma Q-kit (Catalog # DIF50). Under these conditions, IFN-gamma secretion elicited by IL-33 is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse Anti-Human/Primate ST2/IL-33 R Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB523). The ND50 is typically 0.3-1.5 µg/mL. |
