About M-CSF and Alexa Fluor 488
M-CSF | The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function of macrophages. The active form of the protein is found extracellularly as a disulfide-linked homodimer, and is thought to be produced by proteolytic cleavage of membrane-bound precursors. Detection of M-CSF in Human Macrophages by Flow Cytometry. Human macrophages treated with LPS and Recombinant Human TNF-alpha (Catalog # 210-TA) were stained with Mouse Anti-Human M-CSF Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # IC2161G, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # IC003G, open histogram). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with Flow Cytometry Fixation Buffer (Catalog # FC004) and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Permeabilization/Wash Buffer (Catalog # FC005).
