About IL-17F and Alexa Fluor 488
IL-17F The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine is expressed by activated T cells, and has been shown to stimulate the production of several other cytokines, including IL6, IL8, and CSF2/GM_CSF. This cytokine is also found to inhibit the angiogenesis of endothelial cells and induce endothelial cells to produce IL2, TGFB1/TGFB, and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1. Detection of IL-17F in Mouse Splenocytes Stimulated to Induce Th17 Cells by Flow Cytometry. Mouse splenocytes stimulated to induce Th17 cells were stained with Rat Anti-Mouse CD4 APC-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # FAB554A) and either (A) Rabbit Anti-Mouse IL-17F Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # IC20571G) or (B) Normal Rabbit IgG Alexa Fluor 488 Control (Catalog # IC105G). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with Flow Cytometry Fixation Buffer (Catalog # FC004) and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Permeabilization/Wash Buffer I (Catalog # FC005).
