About CCL27 and Purified
CCL27 | This gene is one of several CC cytokine genes clustered on the p-arm of chromosome 9. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The protein encoded by this gene is chemotactic for skin-associated memory T lymphocytes. This cytokine may also play a role in mediating homing of lymphocytes to cutaneous sites. It specifically binds to chemokine receptor 10 (CCR10). Studies of a similar murine protein indicate that these protein-receptor interactions have a pivotal role in T cell-mediated skin inflammation. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014] |

Chemotaxis Induced by CCL27/CTACK and Neutral-ization by Human CCL27/ CTACK Antibody. Recombinant Human CCL27/CTACK (Catalog # 376-CT) chemo-attracts the BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with mouse CCR10 in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). The amount of cells that migrated through to the lower chemotaxis chamber was measured by Resazurin (Catalog # AR002). Chemotaxis elicited by Recombinant Human CCL27/CTACK (1 µg/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse Anti-Human CCL27/CTACK Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3762). The ND50 is typically 1.5-5.0 µg/mL. |
