About CCL1 and Purified
CCL1 This antimicrobial gene is one of several chemokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines form a superfamily of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The superfamily is divided into four subfamilies based on the arrangement of the N-terminal cysteine residues of the mature peptide. This chemokine, a member of the CC subfamily, is secreted by activated T cells and displays chemotactic activity for monocytes but not for neutrophils. It binds to the chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 8. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Chemotaxis Induced by CCL1/ITCA-3 and Neutralization by Mouse CCL1/ITCA-3 Antibody. Recombinant Mouse CCL1/TCA-3 (Catalog # 845-TC) chemoattracts the BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with mouse CCR8 in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). The amount of cells that migrated through to the lower chemotaxis chamber was measured by Resazurin (Catalog # AR002). Chemotaxis elicited by Recombinant Mouse CCL1/TCA-3 (0.01 µg/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse CCL1/TCA-3 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB845). The ND50 is typically 2-10 µg/mL.
