Description | Clone REA983 recognizes the mouse CD80 antigen also known as B7, B7-1, or Ly-53. The 55 kDa member of the Ig superfamily is expressed on activated B cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells. The interaction of CD80 and CD152 (CTLA-4) or CD28 induces T cell proliferation and cytokine production. | Additional information: Clone REA983 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
About CD80 and PE-Vio770
CD80 | The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane receptor that is activated by the binding of CD28 or CTLA-4. The activated protein induces T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. This protein can act as a receptor for adenovirus subgroup B and may play a role in lupus neuropathy. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011] | |

PE-Vio770 | PE-Vio® 770 from Miltenyi Biotec is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Vio®770. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Vio®770, which emitts light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. PE-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm and is a common alternative to PE-Cy7 and PE-H7. |
