Description Clone REA1023 recognizes the rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta) and cynomolgus monkey (Macaca fascicularis) CD45 antigen. It is reported to cross-react with pigtail monkey (Macaca nemestrina) and human. CD45 is a type I membrane glycoprotein also known as leukocyte common antigen (LCA), T200, or receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase C (PTPRC). It is expressed on non-human primate hematopietic cells, such as lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes. It is not found on erythroid cells. CD45 functions as a regulator for cell growth, differentiation, cell cycle, and oncogenic transformation. | Additional information: Clone REA1023 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
About CD45 and PerCP-Vio700
CD45 The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitosis, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP contains an extracellular domain, a single transmembrane segment and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains, and thus is classified as a receptor type PTP. This PTP has been shown to be an essential regulator of T- and B-cell antigen receptor signaling. It functions through either direct interaction with components of the antigen receptor complexes, or by activating various Src family kinases required for the antigen receptor signaling. This PTP also suppresses JAK kinases, and thus functions as a regulator of cytokine receptor signaling. Alternatively spliced transcripts variants of this gene, which encode distinct isoforms, have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2012]
PerCP-Vio700 PerCP-Vio® 770 is a far-red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines PerCP and a Vio®770 dye. The donor, PerCP, can be excited by the 488 nm blue laser and transfers energy to the acceptor, Vio®770, which emits light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. APC-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 482 nm and an emission peak at 704 nm, and is spectrally similar to PerCP-Cy5.5 and PerCP-eF710. PerCP-Vio®770 is known to be very bright and photostable, as well as being stable when treated with fixatives. These favorable characteristics that make it useful in multiple different applications such as flow cytometry and Fluorescence Microscopy. The large stokes shift can be advantageous when trying to fit more colors into a multicolor panel. The Vio® dye family are products of Miltenyi Biotec, with many antibody conjugates designed and validated for flow cytometry.
