About Myogenin and CF680R
Myogenin Myogenin is a muscle-specific transcription factor that can induce myogenesis in a variety of cell types in tissue culture. It is a member of a large family of proteins related by sequence homology, the helix-loop-helix (HLH) proteins. It is essential for the development of functional skeletal muscle. CF680R CF®680R from Biotium is a fluorophore with an excitation peak at 680 nm and an emission peak at 701 nm. It can be useful in both fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry. For microscopy, CF®680R has been specifically validated in super-resolution imaging by STORM, STED and 2-Photon microscopy. It is spectrally similar to Alexa Fluor™ 680, IRDye® 680 and Cy5.5.
