Clone REA912
Host Human
Isotype IgG1
Conjugate APC
Target Species Human
Applications FC
Description Clone REA912 recognizes the human myeloid DAP12-associating lectin 1 (MDL-1) antigen, also known as CLECSF5 or CLEC5A. MDL-1 is a type II transmembrane protein belonging to the C type lectin superfamily. It is exclusively expressed in monocytes and macrophages. The association of DAP12 and MDL-1 is essential for the activation in myeloid cells. | Additional information: Clone REA912 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
About CLEC5A and APC
CLEC5A This gene encodes a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily. Members of this family share a common protein fold and have diverse functions, such as cell adhesion, cell-cell signalling, glycoprotein turnover, and roles in inflammation and immune response. The encoded type II transmembrane protein interacts with dnax-activation protein 12 and may play a role in cell activation. Alternative splice variants have been described but their full-length sequence has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
APC Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
