Description The UP-H2 monoclonal antibody recognizes human IREM-2 (immune receptor expressed in monocytic derived cells) also known as LMIR6, and unofficially CD300E and CD300LE. It is a member of the CMRF-35 family. This 34 kDa Ig-like containing receptor is an activating receptor and through it’s charged residues in the cytokplasmic domain interacts with ITAM containing adaptor proteins like DAP12. Expression is found exclusively on monocytes and myeloid DC’s. Expression may be transient as differentiation of monocytes leads to down regulation of IREM-2 yet expression is found on mature DCs. It has been also noted that myeloid cell lines such as THP-1 and U937 do not express IREM-2.In vitro addition of UP-H2 antibody either soluble or crosslinked stimulates monocytes.
About CD300e and PerCP
CD300e This gene encodes a member of the CD300 glycoprotein family of cell surface proteins expressed on myeloid cells. The protein interacts with the TYRO protein tyrosine kinase-binding protein and is thought to act as an activating receptor. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2012]
PerCP Peridinin-Chlorophyll-Protein (PerCP) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein isolated from algae that can be excited by the 488 nm blue laser and captured with a 670/30 nm bandpass filter. PerCP exhibits a large Stokes' Shift, with an excitation peak at 482 nm and an emission peak at 675 nm. PerCP is was historically used in flow cytometry, however it is highly susceptible to photobleaching and has poor stability. Alternatives like BB700, NovaFluor Blue 690 or PerCP-eFluor™ 710 are preferred. PerCP is a generic dye that has no sole manufacturer.
