Target Species Human
Applications FC
Description Clone REA766 recognizes the human KLF2 antigen, a member of the Krüppel-like factor family of zinc finger transcription factors. KLF2, also known as LKLF or Krueppel-like factor 2, is found mainly in lungs and in lower levels in heart, spleen, skeletal muscle, and testis. KLF2 is involved in lung development, embryonic erythropoiesis, epithelial integrity, T cell viability, and adipogenesis. | Additional information: Clone REA766 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
About KLF2 and APC
KLF2 This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the Kruppel family of transcription factors. The encoded zinc finger protein is expressed early in mammalian development and is found in many different cell types. The protein acts to bind the CACCC box found in the promoter of target genes to activate their transcription. It plays a role in many processes during development and disease including adipogenesis, embryonic erythropoiesis, epithelial integrity, inflammation and t-cell viability. APC Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
