Description NB100-64104 is specific for human CD94, also known as KLRD1 (Killer cell lectin-like receptor, subfamily D, member 1). CD94 is expressed on natural killer (NK) cells and a subset of T lymphocytes. CD94 is found to associate with NKG2 to form a heterodimer which is involved in the inhibition of cell mediated cytotoxicity against cells bearing appropriate MHC class I allotypes. Clone DX22 is reported to inhibit the binding of CD94 to HLA-E(2) and HLA-G(4).
About CD94 and DyLight 680
CD94 Natural killer (NK) cells are a distinct lineage of lymphocytes that mediate cytotoxic activity and secrete cytokines upon immune stimulation. Several genes of the C-type lectin superfamily, including members of the NKG2 family, are expressed by NK cells and may be involved in the regulation of NK cell function. KLRD1 (CD94) is an antigen preferentially expressed on NK cells and is classified as a type II membrane protein because it has an external C terminus. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2017]
DyLight 680 DyLight™ 680 has an excitation peak at 692 nm and an emission peak at 712 nm, and is spectrally similar to Alexa Fluor™ 680 and Cy5.5. DyLight™ 680 is most commonly used in flow cytometery and fluorescence microscopy applications.
