Description The AFL4 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse VEGFR-3, a member of the receptor tyrosine kinase family. This 195 kDa molecule is also known as Flt-4. During early embryogenesis all endothelial cells express VEGFR-3, while in the adult tissues, VEGFR-3 expression disappears from the vascular endothelial cells and is observed only on the lymphatic endothelium. VEGFR-3 expression is also induced upon tumor angiogenesis. VEGF-C and VEGF-D are ligands for VEGFR-3.
About CD310 and PE
CD310 This gene encodes a tyrosine kinase receptor for vascular endothelial growth factors C and D. The protein is thought to be involved in lymphangiogenesis and maintenance of the lymphatic endothelium. Mutations in this gene cause hereditary lymphedema type IA. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
PE Phycoerythrin (PE, R-PE) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein-chromophore complex that can be excited the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser with increasing efficiency and captured with a 586/14 nm bandpass filter. PE has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 578 nm. PE is 240kD in size and has an extinction coefficient of ~2x10^6 which makes it one of the brightest fluorophores available and a potent donor upon which to build tandem fluorophores with longer Stoke's Shifts.
