Description | Clone REA1343 recognizes Interferon gamma (IFN-γ), which is produced by cells that are involved in inflammatory immune responses. IFN-γ is predominantly released by memory and effector CD4+ and CD8+ T cells as well as by NK cells upon activation. Interferon-γ (IFN-γ) plays a crucial role in activation of cellular immunity and subsequently, stimulation of antitumor immune-response. The concentration of IFN-γ plays an important role in tumor treatment, depending on the dose it can lead to tumor growth or regression. | Additional information: Clone REA1343 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors | |
About IFN-gamma and Vio 667
IFN-gamma | This gene encodes a soluble cytokine that is a member of the type II interferon class. The encoded protein is secreted by cells of both the innate and adaptive immune systems. The active protein is a homodimer that binds to the interferon gamma receptor which triggers a cellular response to viral and microbial infections.
