About CD47 and CoraFluor-1
CD47 | This gene encodes a membrane protein, which is involved in the increase in intracellular calcium concentration that occurs upon cell adhesion to extracellular matrix. The encoded protein is also a receptor for the C-terminal cell binding domain of thrombospondin, and it may play a role in membrane transport and signal transduction. This gene has broad tissue distribution, and is reduced in expression on Rh erythrocytes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2010] | |

CoraFluor-1 | CoraFluors are luminescent terbium complexes developed by the Mazitschek lab at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University. The high brightness, long emission lifetimes (> 1 ms) and excellent stability of CoraFluors make them well-suited tools for biomedical assay applications, including homogenous and intracellular time-gated fluorescent measurements (e.g., homogenous and intracellular TR-FRET assays). CoraFluors can be excited with near-UV light and exhibit several narrow emission bands (490 nm, 545 nm, 585 nm, 620 nm), providing compatibility with a broad range of organic fluorophores and fluorescent proteins in TR-FRET experiments. |
