About CD7 and RealBlue 613
CD7 This gene encodes a transmembrane protein which is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. This protein is found on thymocytes and mature T cells. It plays an essential role in T-cell interactions and also in T-cell/B-cell interaction during early lymphoid development. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
RealBlue 613 RealBlue™ 613 (RB613) from BD Biosciences is a very bright alternative to PE-CF®594 and PE-Dazzle® 594 tandem fluorophores and has the advantage of discrete excitation off of the 488nm laser without much cross-beam excitation by the 532 or 561nm lasers. This limited cross-beam excitation will translate to lower complexity index scores and lower spillover spreading error in high parameter spectral flow cytometry applications. RB613 will peak in the same emission channel at 613nm as PE-CF®594 and PE-Dazzle® 594 tandem fluorophores.
