About CD90 and RealYellow 610
CD90 This gene encodes a cell surface glycoprotein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of proteins. The encoded protein is involved in cell adhesion and cell communication in numerous cell types, but particularly in cells of the immune and nervous systems. The encoded protein is widely used as a marker for hematopoietic stem cells. This gene may function as a tumor suppressor in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2015]
RealYellow 610 RealYellow™610 from BD Biosciences is a spectral equivalent to BD Horizon™ PE-CF594 (BD Biosciences) and PE-Dazzle™ 594 (BioLegend) however with more discrete excitation by the 561nm laser and minimal cross-laser excitation off the 488-nm blue laser. This limited cross-beam excitation will translate to lower complexity index scores and lower spillover spreading error in high parameter spectral flow cytometry applications than PE tandem fluorophores.
