About CD11b and RayBright PE-Cy7
CD11b This gene encodes the integrin alpha M chain. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This I-domain containing alpha integrin combines with the beta 2 chain (ITGB2) to form a leukocyte-specific integrin referred to as macrophage receptor 1 ('Mac-1'), or inactivated-C3b (iC3b) receptor 3 ('CR3'). The alpha M beta 2 integrin is important in the adherence of neutrophils and monocytes to stimulated endothelium, and also in the phagocytosis of complement coated particles. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
RayBright PE-Cy7 RayBright PE-Cy7 is a far red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines phycoerythrin (PE) and Cy7. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Cy7, which emits light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. PE-CY7 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 778 nm, and is a suitable alternative to PE-Vio®770 (Miltenyi) and cFluor BYG781 (Cytek).
