Applications IF, IHC, MICS (MACSima Imaging Cyclic Staining)
Description Clone REA933 recognizes the human Cytokeratin 10, which belongs to the type I (acidic) cytokeratin family. Cytokeratins, which are found in almost all epithelial cells, are polypeptides with keratin-containing intermediate filaments, which ensure form stability and cohesiveness. Cytokeratin 10 is located in all suprabasal cell layers including stratum corneum and is associated with keratin-1. | Additional Information: Clone REA933 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
About Cytokeratin 10 and APC
Cytokeratin 10 This gene encodes a member of the type I (acidic) cytokeratin family, which belongs to the superfamily of intermediate filament (IF) proteins. Keratins are heteropolymeric structural proteins which form the intermediate filament. These filaments, along with actin microfilaments and microtubules, compose the cytoskeleton of epithelial cells. Mutations in this gene are associated with epidermolytic hyperkeratosis. This gene is located within a cluster of keratin family members on chromosome 17q21. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
APC Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
