Antigen Fc epsilon R1 alpha
Clone MAR-1
Host Hamster
Isotype IgG
Conjugate APC
Target Species Mouse
Applications FC, Functional
Description Clone MAR-1 detects the alpha subunit of the murine high-affinity Fc receptor for IgE. The receptor is composed of one alpha-, one beta-, and two disulfid-linked gamma subunits, of which the alpha subunit binds IgE. FcεRIα is expressed on mast and basophilic cells and is up-regulated in the presence of IgE. The FcεRI complex plays an important role in triggering IgE-mediated allergic reactions.
About Fc epsilon R1 alpha and APC
Fc epsilon R1 alpha The immunoglobulin epsilon receptor (IgE receptor) is the initiator of the allergic response. When two or more high-affinity IgE receptors are brought together by allergen-bound IgE molecules, mediators such as histamine that are responsible for allergy symptoms are released. This receptor is comprised of an alpha subunit, a beta subunit, and two gamma subunits. The protein encoded by this gene represents the alpha subunit. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
APC Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
