About CD34 and CF488A
CD34 The protein encoded by this gene may play a role in the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or to stromal cells. This single-pass membrane protein is highly glycosylated and phosphorylated by protein kinase C. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. CF488A CF®488A from Biotium is a fluorophore with an excitation peak at 490 nm and an emission peak at 515 nm. It is spectrally similar to Fluorescein, Alexa Fluor™ 488 and DyLight™ 488. It can be use in fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry. In microscopy, CF®488A has been specifically validated for STORM, STED, Structured Illumination (SIM), 2-Photon microscopy and TIRF.
