CD5 This gene encodes a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) superfamily. Members of this family are secreted or membrane-anchored proteins mainly found in cells associated with the immune system. This protein is a type-I transmembrane glycoprotein found on the surface of thymocytes, T lymphocytes and a subset of B lymphocytes. The encoded protein contains three SRCR domains and may act as a receptor to regulate T-cell proliferation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Brilliant Ultraviolet 615 BD Horizon Brilliant™ UltraViolet 615 (BUV615) is a tandem dye has an excitation peak at 348 nm and has an emission maximum of 616 nm. This dye is part of the Brilliant™ UltraViolet dye family, developed and sold by BD Biosciences. This family of dyes uses BUV395 as the donor so that all dyes in the family can be excited by the 355 nm UV laser. Depending on the acceptor, the dyes in this family have different relative brightness ratings.
