About 15-PGDH and DyLight 405
15-PGDH This gene encodes a member of the short-chain nonmetalloenzyme alcohol dehydrogenase protein family. The encoded enzyme is responsible for the metabolism of prostaglandins, which function in a variety of physiologic and cellular processes such as inflammation. Mutations in this gene result in primary autosomal recessive hypertrophic osteoarthropathy and cranioosteoarthropathy. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
DyLight 405 DyLight™ 405 has an excitation peak at 400 nm and an emission peak at 420 nm and is spectrally similar to Alexa Fluor™ 405 and Cascade Blue. DyLight™ 405 is most commonly used in flow cytometery and fluorescence microscopy applications.
