About CD134 and Brilliant Ultraviolet 661
CD134 | The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor has been shown to activate NF-kappaB through its interaction with adaptor proteins TRAF2 and TRAF5. Knockout studies in mice suggested that this receptor promotes the expression of apoptosis inhibitors BCL2 and BCL2lL1/BCL2-XL, and thus suppresses apoptosis. The knockout studies also suggested the roles of this receptor in CD4+ T cell response, as well as in T cell-dependent B cell proliferation and differentiation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] | |

Brilliant Ultraviolet 661 | Brilliant™ UltraViolet 661 (BUV661) is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines BD Horizon® BUV395 and an acceptor dye. It can be excited by the 355 nm UV laser and collected using a 670/25 bandpass filter. BUV661 has an excitation peak at 498 nm and an emission peak at 657 nm This dye is part of the Brilliant™ UltraViolet dye family, developed and sold by BD Biosciences. This family of dyes uses BUV395 as the donor so that all dyes in the family can be excited by the 355 nm UV laser. Depending on the acceptor, the dyes in this family have different relative brightness ratings. |
