About CD34 and DyLight 488
CD34 The protein encoded by this gene may play a role in the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or to stromal cells. This single-pass membrane protein is highly glycosylated and phosphorylated by protein kinase C. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. DyLight 488 DyLight™ 488 has an excitation peak at 493 nm and an emission peak at 518 nm and is spectrally similar to Alexa Fluor™ 488, fluorescein and FITC. DyLight™ 488 is most commonly used in flow cytometery, and fluorescence microscopy applications.
