Description Clone REAL260 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD31 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAlease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL260 recognizes the cell surface protein CD31. The murine CD31 antigen is also known as PECAM-1. The encoded protein is a single-pass type I membrane protein containing six Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains and functions as cell adhesion molecule. CD31 is present on mature endothelial cells as well as on most leukocyte subtypes and platelets where the expression level can vary. Besides its function in exhibiting adhesive properties, the protein is required for leukocyte transendothelial migration (TEM) under most inflammatory conditions. | The REAlease Kits consist of the respective fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes and the REAlease Support Kit for removal of the REAlease Complexes and optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes.
About CD31 and APC
CD31 The protein encoded by this gene is found on the surface of platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and some types of T-cells, and makes up a large portion of endothelial cell intercellular junctions. The encoded protein is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is likely involved in leukocyte migration, angiogenesis, and integrin activation. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]
APC Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
