	Description	Clone REA1116 recognizes CD309, a receptor tyrosine kinase of the class 3 subfamily also known as vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), kinase insert domain receptor (KDR), or fetal liver kinase-1 (Flk-1). CD309 plays an important role in angiogenesis, vascular and endothelial processes, as well as in embryonic hematopoiesis and promotes reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton. CD309 (VEGFR-2) is expressed on embryonic and adult endothelial cells and endothelial progenitor cells. \| Additional information: Clone REA1116 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.

	VEGFR2	Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a major growth factor for endothelial cells. This gene encodes one of the two receptors of the VEGF. This receptor, known as kinase insert domain receptor, is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase. It functions as the main mediator of VEGF-induced endothelial proliferation, survival, migration, tubular morphogenesis and sprouting. The signalling and trafficking of this receptor are regulated by multiple factors, including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin alphaVbeta3, T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase, etc..
