LSS-mKate1 is a monomeric fluorescent protein derived from the sea anemones, Entacmaea, quadricolor. It has an excitation peak at 463 nm and an emission peak at 624 nm. It has a wide excitation profile and can be efficiently excited between 405-488 nm.
