About 2-NBDG

2-NBDG is a fluorescent glucose analog typically used to monitor the live-cell uptake of glucose in metabolically active cells. 2-NBDG is excited at 465 nm and emits at 540 nm and can be analyzed using fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry or Microplate Assay. However, 2-NBDG is always fluorescent and the excess must be removed from the incubation solution prior to analysis.
