About Alexa Fluor 750


Alexa Fluor® 750 (AF750, Alexa 750) is a far-red emitting synthetic fluorophore that can be excited by the 640 nm red laser and captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. AF750 has an excitation peak at 749 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm, and is spetrally similar to Cy®7 (GE Healthcare), APC-Fire™ 750 (BioLegend), CF®750 (Biotium), DyLight™ 750 (ThermoFisher Scientific), iFluor™ 750 (ATT Bioquest) and iFluor™ 790 (ATT Bioquest). This dye is used for multiple applications as it is moderately bright and has good photostability in antifade. It is often used as a tandem fluorophore in flow cytometry, or used on its own in imaging, microscopy, or super-resolution microscopy applications. The Alexa Fluor dye family was originally developed by Molecular Probes, now a part of ThermoFisher Scientific. AlexaFluor is a registered trademark of Invitrogen, ThermoFisher Scientific. Alexa Fluor dyes come in a wide variety of modified formats that allow for easy conjugations or right out of the box use.
