LY6G6D belongs to a cluster of leukocyte antigen-6 (LY6) genes located in the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class III region on chromosome 6. Members of the LY6 superfamily typically contain 70 to 80 amino acids, including 8 to 10 cysteines. BD Horizon RealYellow 586 (RY586) is a bright, yellow emitting dye used in flow cytometry. This fluorophore is excited optimally by the 561 laser and is similar in its emission properties to PE, but interestingly, RY586 shows minimal cross-laser excitation with the 488 laser and can be used in spectral flow cytometry panels concurrently with PE (as stated by supplier).
