This gene encodes a capillary endothelial cell protein that facilitates the lipolytic processing of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins. The encoded protein is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored protein that is a member of the lymphocyte antigen 6 (Ly6) family.
