CD272

Aliases: BTLA1, CD272
Other: B- and T-lymphocyte attenuator|B- and T-lymphocyte-associated protein

This gene encodes a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The encoded protein contains a single immunoglobulin (Ig) domain and is a receptor that relays inhibitory signals to suppress the immune response. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with an increased risk of rheumatoid arthritis. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]

BD Horizon RealBlue™ 545 (RB545) is part of BD's new product line of laser-specific fluorochromes which are designed to minimize cross laser excitaiton. This fluorochrome has a maximum excitation wavelength of 496nm and a maximum emission wavelength of 545nm. While RB545 is excited by the 488nm blue laser, it offers miminal cross-laser excitation off of the 561nm yellow/green laser. It is desig... see more
