MitoTracker Red

MitoTracker Red (Ex-Max 575 nm/Em-Max 595 nm)

MitoTracker Red CMXRos from Thermo Fisher Scientific is a potential-dependent mitochondrial localization probe with an excitation peak at 575 nm and an emission peak at 595 nm. It is recommended for fluorescence microscopy and live-cell imaging. It is retained with fixation using paraformaldehyde. This probe is also available in a reduced version that can aid in reducing background signal. The reduced version, MitoTracker Red CM-H2Ros, becomes more intensely fluorescent when it is oxidzed at the mitochondrial membrane.
