Cascade Blue is an aminocoumarin derivative with an excitation peak at 396 nm and an emission peak at 410 nm. Although spectrally it can be used in both fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry, it is considered to be a very dim fluorophore. Alternatives include Alexa Fluor™ 405, CoraLight Plus 405 and DY405.
